Learn how to register for the Passport Run Santa Cruz Edition, a community run celebrating movement and coffee. Step-by-step guide included.

Quick Answer

Register for the Passport Run Santa Cruz Edition online for a suggested $10 donation, then show up at Verve Coffee Roasters on Bronson St to run, connect, and support local community.

What Makes Passport Run Different

The Passport Run isn't a typical race. It's a community celebration co-created with Ciele Athletics, noissue, and Santa Cruz Collective. The focus is on movement and connection rather than competition, making it ideal for runners of all levels.

Registration costs a suggested $10 donation, and 100% of proceeds go to local causes. You don't need a coffee subscription or loyalty program membership to join — it's open to everyone.

How to Register and Run the Passport Run

Register Online: Visit the Passport Run registration page on the Verve Coffee Roasters website. Choose the Santa Cruz Edition option and complete the $10 suggested donation. Payment secures your spot. Register early — spots can fill. Don't wait until race day.
Check the Start Details: The run starts and finishes at Verve Coffee Roasters, 104 Bronson St, Santa Cruz. Start time is 11 am. The distance is approximately 8K (about 5 miles). Plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early to check in and warm up. Double-check the start time and location the night before. No late arrivals.
Run and Celebrate: Follow the route markers or group. After finishing, enjoy the community atmosphere at Verve. Bring a friend — the more the merrier. Hydrate before and after. The 8K is manageable for most, but don't skip water.
